McGrath debates the future of rural schools

Local TD Mattie McGrath has initiated a debate in the Dáil to discuss the future of rural schools.

“As a strong advocate for the protection of rural Ireland, I have major concerns with regard to any proposal that threatens rural schools. Small primary schools are at the centre of life in rural communities and it would be detrimental if these schools were to be downgraded or diminished in any way,” said McGrath.


€22,460 approved for Boherlahan Dualla Development Association - McGrath

Deputy Mattie McGrath is today, 5th December, delighted to announce that funding in the region of €22,460 has been approved for Boherlahan Dualla Development Association.

Mattie has been elected to the 30th Dail on the 6th count.

Fianna Fáil took 46% of the vote.

The quota was set at 9696.

Mattie was second only to Tom Hayes with 7068 first preferences

Tom Hayes was been elected to the 30th Dial on the 5th count.

There will be a recount tomorrow for the final seat as follows:
Martin Manseragh - 9341
Seamus Healy - 9282
